FEELING FIT A New Concept in Health and Wellness

Feeling Fit is a health and wellness company that is owned and operated by competitive runner and triathlete Kelly Mantel of San Diego, California. The company is comprised of talented artists, athletes and experts who hold national and international credentials in health and wellness training. The staff at Feeling Fit share a deep belief that "wellness" is achieved through the acquisition of personal assets such as strength, balance, focus, perseverance, and is maintained by a positive yet realistic outlook.

Whether it is through personalized or group participation in yoga, pilates, weight training; the team at feeling fit is dedicated to providing the attention, support and guidance necessary to ensure optimal growth on a physical, mental and emotional level. In essence, our mission is to leave our clients Feeling Fit.

Kelly knowledge of Coaching Skills began with Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology in College. Kelly's inspiration of athleticism was lead by Mike Sola of San Bernardion Valley College Athletic Trainer Coach. In College Kelly covered all Teams Injuries and was the President of Sports Medicine Team. Professional Coaching Skills was inspired by former Coach Farrel of Rams(Los Angeles)and Tony Turner Olympic Gold Diver 1965 and 1969 and Coach of Freestyle Swimming 1984 and 1988 Olympic Athletes. Highly experienced coaches have built Kelly's knowledge in helping her athletic clients getting to where they want and can compete.

Kelly's competition life has been very eventful. Took First Place Finish 5K run in her first public competition at Newport Beach. Kelly would place in the top 5 in her age division at 5K, 10K, and 1/2 marathons 1986-1996. In College Kelly Competed in Womens Swim Team FreeStyle and Breastroke and lead runner Womens Cross-Country Team. 1994-2002 6 marathons,4-1/2 marathons, 9 endurance triathlons(Special Warfare Triathlon SuperFrog,World's Toughest Ironman, Vineman Full and 1/2 Sonoma County) and 6 Olympic Distance Triathlons.

Kelly has enjoyed her coaching in Master's Swimming,Sports Conditioning, and Fitness and Wellness Coach. Kelly enjoys seeing her clients training to healthier lifestyles. Helping them reach the expectation of their fitness goals!

Yoga by Feeling Fit

It begins with a quieting of the mind, a focus on the breath; it is the start of a new world. Whether it is through the practice of Kundelini, Ashtanga, Hatha, Power Stretch, or Yoga-Physioball; we believe that you will leave our classes having highly benefited.

Research conducted in the area of health and wellness has repeatedly shown that practicing yoga on a regular basis offers a multitude of physical as well as emotional and mental benefits. Among these are: stengthened muscles, tendons and joints,lowered body fat,increased circulation, stabilized spine, and improved respiration, circulation and posture. However, yoga, unlike most other forms of frequently practiced exercises also strengthens one's mind.

Mental and physical flexibility are helpful tools that can be used to achieve success in our ever-changing surroundings and competitive world. Practicing yoga regularly helps to put one in touch with their inner core breathing and intuitive voice; from this contact, a beautiful relationship can emerge. Those who practice yoga regularly explain the experience as being able to find the self through a method of deep, controlled, and purposeful breathing called Ujjayi breathing. Ujjayi breathing is an essential feature of yoga practice. It is through the utilization of Ujjayi breathing,that one learns to strengthen the body while quieting the mind.

Whatever it may be that one is seeking from a yoga experience, we at Feeling fit are confident that practicing yoga regularly through our facility; will leave one truely Feeling Fit, relaxed and with an overall heightened sense of well-being.
